Ozlem Bulut currently serves as the Chief Readiness Officer at Microsoft Worldwide Learning team, overseeing employee skilling across Central, East & South Europe, and the Middle East & Africa regions (CEMA). Before assuming this role, Bulut held positions such as Talent Director for Middle East and Africa (MEA), Area HR Director for MEA, and various HR leadership roles at Microsoft International Headquarters and in the Middle East and Africa since 2007.
As the Chief Readiness Officer at Microsoft, Bulut focuses on landing global learning programs aimed at enhancing technical, industry, sales, and professional capabilities, enabling the acceleration of the internal field, customer and partner performance through targeted skill development initiatives. As AI transforms the way we work, Bulut supports Microsoft`s skills-first approach to AI transformation – emphasizing skills and competencies, helping the workforce understand how to use AI in their work and help Microsoft`s customers achieve more with focus on developing, deploying, and making the best use of AI solutions by upskilling the entire workforce.
Bulut brings a growth mindset and exceptional organizational and practical skills to her work. She functions as a strategic business partner, trusted advisor, and leader with extensive experience in high-growth companies. Her human resource expertise and technological acumen drive the company's initiatives in learning, organizational change, leadership development, talent management, performance development, diversity & inclusion, and operational excellence.
With over 25 years of experience in human resources, including leadership positions in multinational companies within the energy, healthcare, and software sectors, Bulut began her HR career in the semiconductor sector at Advanced Energy Industries (AE) in Colorado before moving to a role as International HR Manager in Silicon Valley. She then worked at Siemens Medical USA in California, leading the HR function for Sales and Marketing organizations in North America, Asia, Europe, Middle East & Africa. Throughout these roles, Bulut has focused on aligning human resources with business needs and priorities to achieve measurable improvements.
Throughout her career, Bulut has collaborated with numerous charitable organizations to support educational mentoring programs for children. Additionally, she has served as a lecturer at colleges and learning institutes in the United States. An active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest HR professional society, Bulut holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Organizational Management and Human Resources Management from Colorado State University, USA.
