Richard has contributed to a number of previous MERIT events as both a speaker and moderator.  He is a member of the Merit Advisory Board.  Currently, a Regional HR Leader with Nilfisk, a global provider of cleaning equipment and solutions, Richard draws on many years of experience in senior international HR roles. He has worked in various sectors, based out of the UK, Switzerland, and Germany.  An avid learner and networker, Richard enjoys turning insights gleaned from research and interactions with other practitioners into practical and effective tools and solutions that help businesses to both define and deliver on their strategic priorities - usually around optimizing change, growth and performance.

Richard studied German and IT at Exeter University.  He also a post-graduate qualification in HR and, since 2007, he has been a Fellow of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.  Working through both the English and German language, Richard recently acquired German as well as a British Citizenship.  He has been living with his family in Ulm, Germany, since 2016.
