Rory Bate-Williams is a serial entrepreneur who started his first business, an event hire company called Top Up Tents, at the age of 15. Rory's most recent role was as founder of a mobile messaging app called Boink, which competed for users in the group video messaging space. Prior to this he completed an apprenticeship to the CEO of one of the UK's largest private companies. In addition Rory has experience in setting up two e-commerce ventures in the winter sports DVD sector and the self-published e-book sector. Most recently he co-founded Glow Save, a company that automatically switches between energy suppliers.
Rory has a BA in Political Science from Newcastle University and an MBA from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. He was selected by the New Entrepreneurs Foundation as one of the UK's brightest and most entrepreneurially minded young people.
