Joaquín Uríbarri is the CEO of the Executive Education unit at IE Business School, and has acted as a catalyst for the senior management programmes and the internationalisation of custom-made and open enrolment programmes. He was the main representative of the school and member of the board of UNICON until May 2007.

He has considerable experience in working with the Learning & Development units of global companies to help them design and deliver learning interventions relevant to their challenges both in personnel development and the company’s overall strategies. He has also participated in the design of the most successful open enrolment programmes at IE Business School as well as in those offered jointly with other top business schools. As a result, he regularly participates as speaker in HR and Talent Management conferences around the world where he talks about the challenges of leadership and talent management in today’s organisations.     

Joaquín Uríbarri is also an expert in the area of e-learning, having launched – as director of the initiative IE Learning Net – the e-learning spin-off of IE Business School in the year 2000. He was previously responsible for their MBA and IMBA programmes, to which he gave greater international outreach, and was the school’s director of International Relations.
