The medical biology market has been facing several disruptive transformations since the past decade and the Cerba HealthCare Group has had to re-think its organisation and strategy to face the related challenges. This has meant a significant transformation carried out and supported by the top managers of the Group. To achieve this strategic shift, Cerba HealthCare contacted emlyon business school in 2011 to design and deliver a unique experiential learning journey customised for the top “BioManagers” of the Group. The strategic challenge for the talented managers and high-potential biologists (who will be called upon to take on leadership roles) is to complement their scientific learning with solid management skills to enable them to take on the entrepreneurial responsibilities of a business unit as inspiring leaders. The “BioManager” programme is a first-class tailor-made and experiential training programme delivered in 8 modules over 15 months (40 days in total): The main pedagogical objective is to develop the managerial skills and the mindset to enable the participants to become the Leaders and Managing Directors of tomorrow.
