OPENING KEYNOTE
The Human Brain - Always On and Always Learning?
17-Jan-2018 9:00 - 9:40
In his keynote Andy will show a refined evolutionary model of the brain and how this impacts how you think about learning and development in business. Andy will create understanding of and redefine core concepts of the brain such as cognition (we don’t do much of it), emotions (do you really know what they are), drives and motivation (often misinterpreted) not to mention learning - which neuroscientists see simply as brain growth. Ironically the brain is wired to be continually learning and neuroscience paints a clearly picture of how important continual processes are - always on is what the brain always is! Indeed the ground-breaking framework Andy will present will show us just where we need to be always on and how you can design business programmes and interventions around this. A small additional bonus is that you will also learn about the deep drives of all human beings and the development of human thinking. All in one keynote with multiple key takeaways.
